Best time to visit

Spring and fall are ideal. Memorial Day weekend means the Strawberry Festival; late January brings the Tet Festival.

What to budget

Meals run $10–$20 a person at the city's best restaurants. Hotels are meaningfully cheaper than Anaheim for the same drive.

One local tip

Eat before the theme parks, not in them. A $12 lunch in Little Saigon beats anything inside the gates.
