Accessibility statement

Our commitment

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and to meet the spirit and requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and California's Unruh Civil Rights Act. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing practice, not a one-time audit.

What we've built in

• An on-page accessibility menu (bottom-left) with larger text, high contrast, grayscale, readable fonts, link highlighting and reduced motion.
• A "Skip to main content" link as the first keyboard stop on every page.
• Semantic landmarks, one H1 per page, and a logical heading order.
• Visible keyboard focus styles and full keyboard operability — no mouse required.
• Text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative media is hidden from screen readers.
• The hero video is muted, decorative and pauses under "reduce motion."
• Color contrast targeted at 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and UI.
• Forms with real labels, required-field marking, and status messages announced politely.

Your browser and device settings

This site respects your operating system's "reduce motion" preference and browser text size. It works with VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, TalkBack, and with zoom up to 200% without loss of content or function.

Known limitations

• Third-party content we link to (city sites, maps, social platforms) is outside our control and may not meet the same standard.
• Photos and videos supplied by local businesses may have limited alt text until we review them.
• Grove AI's responses are generated text; if a response is unclear, ask again or contact us and a person will answer.

Accessibility of the places we list

Where we know a Garden Grove business or venue has step-free entry, accessible restrooms or accessible parking, we note it. We cannot guarantee physical accessibility — please call the business to confirm before you go.

Report a barrier

If any part of this site blocks you, tell us. Include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you use. We respond to accessibility reports within 5 business days and will provide the information in an alternate format if needed.
